For the first time, we will be hosting an End of Year Celebration on Thursday, May 23 from 4:30-8:00 pm. Wilbur 99.7 will be broadcasting live, there will be food trucks and other activities. See the attached posters. More information will be provided over the next few weeks.

This morning, our 1st grade and AM Kindergarten students at Cleona Elementary had their April PBIS Assembly! Congratulations to our students who received rewards for being "Purposeful with Courage" and "Purposeful People." We can't wait to continue celebrating with our 2nd-grade and PM Kindergarten students this afternoon.
A-C Art Show - Friday, May 3

The art show will feature work from A-C students in grades K-12.
Mr. Hitz's 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students were able to experience the Whitaker Center today. They watched a 3D movie and interacted with STEM-based activities!
This week has presented some fun and unique learning opportunities! In library, the students attended a book cafe. Many classrooms are engaged with a guest instructor with the junior achievement program. Second grade is working on measurement and went on a scavenger hunt to determine the length of environmental items.

Our week not only started with a guest visitor but it also included solar eclipse fun and a food truck break for staff.
Cleona Elementary enjoyed a visit from Barnhill Preserve. They brought along a breaded dragon, blue-tongued skink, corn snake, armadillo, and an owl.
This week as been full of growth and learning. We had a guest reader in the office. First and second grade are working on plant discovery. We made it outside despite the challenging weather. The students played familiar spelling games to review their words.

Looking for something fun to do... like trivia... look no further than the A-C Quiz Bowl Team Trivia Night Fundraiser tomorrow (3/22) in the HS Cafeteria from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Cost is $5.00/person for a team of 4 or more. Cost is $7.00/person for a team of 3 or fewer.
The Spring Musical came to visit Cleona Elementary. It was fun to see a preview of what promises to be an amazing show! This Thursday night is student night starting at 7:30 p.m. Students only cost $5.00 on student night. The musical is also running this Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
